"MiraSado has as slogan: "Ao sabor das marés" “To the flavour of tides” because its activity is dependent on the tides. The tours are carried out in the high-water times where there is enough water to circulate with the boat outside the deepest channels. The tides are altered by the gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon with the Moon being the greatest influence due to its proximity to the planet Earth. In this sense, the activities change every day, there are no fixed times for these trips. Booking activities in advance is essential to adjust participants' timing requests and tide height."
Tasting with Tradition
Portuguese oysters (Cassostrea angulata) are the best-known bivalve and have contributed significantly to the economy of the entire population of the city of Setúbal, especially for the communities along the banks of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve in the 1960s. Take a walk through the Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy storytelling by locals with over 50 years of experience harvesting polychaetes, and much more. Sample regional products, go birdwatching, watch demonstrations of traditional fishing techniques, and experience the unique tides.

Picnic on the Beach
Find your well-being together with your family at a picnic on a beach just for you! We sail from Moinho de Maré da Mourisca to Pontal de S.Luís, on the east bank of the RNES, where you can enjoy your picnic with your family for 4/5 hours. The activity includes a nature guide who will talk about the surrounding landscape during the boat trip, as well as the land composition at the destination.
